ABOUT DEVIN Director, Devin Cornell began Irish Dancing in Windsor at the age of 7. Within a few short years he was commuting weekly to Toronto for further instruction. Over the next few years Devin competed at regional competitions, North American Championships and at the age of 14 competed in his first World Championships in Galway Ireland. At the peak of his competitive career Devin was Eastern Canadian Champion and ranked as highly as 25th in the World. At 17 he began an American tour with a show called Common Ground, as principal dancer. Since that time Devin has performed for the Mayor of Toronto, CBC Breakfast television, as well as appearing in a commercial for Crest in 2003. Devin’s first passion is teaching and has made doing it his full time gig.		CELTIC FURY IRISH DANCE COMPANY Founded by Devin Cornell in January 2000, Celtic Fury Irish Dance Company has quickly become the foremost Irish dance company in Southwestern Ontario. Combining both aspects of Irish Dance; the elegant, high flying soft shoes, and the hard hitting, rhythm-driving percussion of the hard shoes with contemporary, fast paced music, Celtic Fury is able to leave audiences everywhere in awe. Celtic Fury’s full length production, Irish Fire, has left in its wake crowds of people in wonder of the talented performers that make the show come alive. The show has been performed at numerous venues, including the International Windsor Celtic Festival, the Grand Theatre in London, the River Run Theatre in Guelph and the Brockville arts Centre. These shows earned the company rave reviews. The stunning footwork and impeccable synchronization of Celtic Fury’s performers have made Irish Fire a show worthy of performance on the best stages in the country.
